Each nail technician is trained to ensure the safety of their customers and their own personal health by using hygienic procedures during each service.
In addition to sanitized tools and disposable gloves, SugarCoat Nails use pipeless pedicure chairs and porcelain sinks for the ease of cleaning, as well as sanitized towels that are used once and then discarded after each manicure and pedicure service. All new clients receive a complimentary personalized tool kit including nail files, buffers, toe separators and pumice stones, which they keep for future visits to maintain their beautiful look at home. They also offer a variety of nail enhancement products, including builder gel, which is applied to nails and cuticles for a stronger, long-lasting finish.
Waxing
Waxing is a quick way to get rid of unwanted hair. It also gives the skin a more polished, clean look and is much less painful than shaving. The beauty therapist will wash the area and apply a pre-wax treatment to prevent irritation. Then, depending on the type of wax used, they may spread a thin layer of either soft or hard wax over the area where you want to remove the hair. After the wax is applied, a cloth or paper strip is pressed on top of it and then swiftly ripped off in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
Unlike shaving, which can be rough on the skin and leave you with unsightly stubble days later, waxing is very gentle and can remove all of the hair right at the root. For that reason, it’s also one of the most effective ways to get smooth, long-lasting results. It’s best to avoid shaving the area between waxing treatments because it can interfere with your hair’s natural cycle and cause your regrowth to be faster and patchier. But exfoliating a couple of times a week with a dry brush will help keep ingrown hairs at bay. For optimum results, experts recommend getting a wax every 4-6 weeks. It’s also a good idea to avoid waxing during your period as the increased hormone levels can make the area more sensitive.
Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash extensions make your eyelashes look fuller and darker by attaching semi-permanent fibers to each individual natural lash. They are available in a range of lengths, thicknesses and tints. SugarCoat Nails may be made with synthetic, mink, or faux-mink fibers or silk fibers. Most lash studios offer multiple extension styles and curl patterns to give clients their desired look. A good lash technician is trained to apply the extensions without damaging the natural lashes or eye area.
Once applied, the lash extensions are virtually waterproof and will last up to a month before needing a refill. The process is relatively painless for most, although there’s a small risk of irritation and infection from the glue used. Despite their popularity, eyelash extensions are not for everyone. They can irritate the delicate skin around the eyes and make your eyelids sting, especially if the glue gets into sensitive areas. They can also cause your natural lashes to fall out or become damaged, which will shorten the lifespan of your extensions. People with watery eyes, extreme allergies or thin fragile lashes are also poor candidates for them.
